Stranger things 2 *spoiler alert!*
As of last last week I finished the entire season of Stranger Things 2. Literally a piece of my heart chipped off when the final chapter came to a closing. It's my favorite show! How can this happen!? Why does it have to end!? Of course the final episode left us with more questions than answers. For example the "shadow monster" at the end of the chapter is shown hovering over the school, but it's shown in the upside down dimension. I really can't wait until season three comes out. I feel that season 2 was way better than season 1. Now don't get me wrong season 1 was amazing, but season 2 really had our emotions on the edge. I love how this show is so easy to relate to even though it is set in the 80's i am sure many of us can relate to it one way or another.
Micro Theme Essay
I love art, and I love Graffiti. Being involved in the graffiti artform for about six years now, I often get angry when I hear someone identify graffiti and street art as a criminal activity, like if it was on the same level as murdering someone. Ever since I introduced graffiti into my life, I have asked myself numerous times why do people see graffiti and street art as a criminal act, by making it seem like a greater issue than it already is?
One possible factor as to why people demoralize graffiti and street art maybe because it is a form of vandalism. It can be hard to say whether or whether anyone wants graffiti written all over their private property. Another factor why people might call out these artforms as extreme criminal activity is because it is often seen as being tied to gang activity. Another potential reason can be because when people imagine graffiti they might get a negative vivid connotation in their head, like young person who is ruthless, and does not care for the law. People have the right to feel these things when they see graffiti, since it is such a recurring theme that is passed through society.
If we could think about as to why graffiti and street art is considered by so many people a criminal act, but in a more negative way than it is, we can find that in fact it is vandalism. On top of that people might connect it to gangs. Also people might connect a young unlawful person who is no good to society to these arts when they see graffiti or street art.
